Waitress Traffy

Mum, Dad and I love going to Ampthill Park for a morning run around but why oh why oh why did they think I should wear this.

Don't they know a puppy-girl needs to look more stylish. One man thought I was wearing a bib!

Parents, PLEASE no more bib!!!!

Paddling!

Dad thought it looked like so much fun in the river that he came in for a paddle too! I looked after him and made sure he didn't go for a swim.

Woburn Oyster Festival

Today Mum and Dad took me to something called an Oyster Festival at a place called Woburn.

Oysters are very slimey things which Mum likes to eat very much - I much prefer chicken and can't wait for them to take me to a chicken festival.

It was very hot and sunny but luckily I remembered to take my shades with me.

Help - my Monkey's stuck!

Mum and I were playing throw and catch with one of my monkeys today - It's a game I like very much (It took a long time to teach Mum how to play but eventually she caught on).

We were having so much fun but unfortunately Mum threw my favourite monkey in the tree - That's not how we play the game Mum!

Fishermen

Although it's nice when it's sunny and warm, it does have it's downside.

I went down to my river today and there were lots of strange silent men sat at the side of the river with big long pointy sticks which they keep throwing at the river.

For some reason they don't like it when I want to play too - why can't they understand that it's the right of a puppy girl to chase any sticky things thrown at the river?

I've now found a good lookout spot, so I can see where the strange men are and keep out of their way.

Bedfordshire show

Yesterday Mum & Dad took me to the Bedfordshire county show.

I particularly liked the chickens - can't wait to taste them.

There were also some very strange dogs - apparently they're called ponies, I bet they'd like to eat the chickens too.

There were some nasty dogs called beagles - they barked some very nasty things at me. I'm glad I don't see any of them down at my river.

Priory park

Today Mum took me to Priory park where I met up with some of my friends - it was really good fun running about in the fields.

I particularly enjoyed play fighting with Barney (sometimes I even let him win)

A very long walk

This morning when Mum had dropped Dad off at the station she asked me if I wanted to go for a walk and I said yes by wagging my tail - I always say yes - unless I think we might have to go in the car (I don't really like going in the car at the moment.)
This morning we went down to the meadow and all the way along by the river until we came to the big bridge by the magic temple - then we usually come back because that is a long walk but instead of coming back we went over the bridge and walked back on the other side of the river and I got to smell lots of new smells and it was a really really long way and Mum and I had to have a little lie down when we got back. (Mum said she was reading but she had her eyes closed.)

On the other side of the river there's lots of poppies so Mum took my photo in them.

Hot hot hot!

It's so hot I have to go for a paddle in the river to cool off. Sometimes I see little fishes in the water but I haven't been able to catch any yet. Neither have I been able to say hello to any of the ducks - although I have tried.

Mum wont let me say hello to the swans because she says they don't always like puppy girls - but I'm sure they'd like me if they got to know me.

Canine Partners Fete

Today we went to the Canine Partners fete and I got to see lots of dogs that I hadn't seen for ages - plus lots of dogs that I'd never met before - there were hundreds of them. Mum liked a little dog that had got no hair and was wearing a pink t-shirt that was the same as his mum's. I hope she doesn't want to cut off my fur and put me in t-shirts!

Grandparents

Mum and Dad went away to somewhere called Wychwood Music Festival with some finger puppets and one of Mum's books but they couldn't take me so Mum's mum and dad came to look after me. They were very nice and gave me lots and lots of gravy bones and took me for long walks (only I wasn't allowed to come off my lead in case I didn't come back.) They made me a special banner saying 'welcome home' for when Mum and Dad came back. I was very excited to see them. Mum's mum, Sylvia, painted a picture of me which Mum has put on the wall - it's a very nice picture but I'm much smaller in it than I am in real life.

Salty Sea

Yahoooo! We went on holiday to somewhere called Wales and stayed in a cute log cabin (that Dad accidentally nearly burned down.) I got to play with lots of other dogs on almost deserted beaches and run in and out of the waves and put my head in the rock pools. I don't know why but every time I tasted the sea it was salty - but I kept having to test it just in case.
I even started to like going in the car a bit better because when we went out in the car I got to go to the sea.

A Very Special Day

Today was a very special day because we were going to the place where Emma went when she went away for her final training. I had to wear my pink bandana because my neck is still shaved from where I got bitten. Lots of people said how pretty I looked in my bandana. Some people said the ceremony was going to be long so maybe I'd want to wait in the car but Mum and Dad said I wouldn't like to wait in the car but they'd take me outside if I got restless. But I didn't get restless at all and I stayed on my very very best behaviour.
We sat at the back and watched as lots of very clever dogs graduated and became Canine Partners and Companions and made the people who they now lived with very happy.
Emma's with a man called Mike and I could see she thought he was wonderful and she was very happy. Mum and Dad thought Emma might not recognise them as they hadn't seen her for so long. But when Mum had to go up the front to get her clap for looking after Emma - she jumped up to say hello. I think Emma going to write about it in her blog.
Emma and I had a nice play and she thanked me for looking after Mum and Dad - it is quite hard sometimes - but someone has to do it.

Weekend by the Sea

This weekend we went to the seaside - yahoo! We went to somewhere called Wittering. It was very cold but I didn't mind - my fur keeps me warm.

Mum and Dad found a wonderful pub in East Wittering that said they loved dogs and so we went back there for lunch and there were lots and lots of dogs there and some old people in those special motorized wheelchairs (that are a bit scary - the chairs not the people) gave me some biscuits and I shared some of Mum's lunch and they even let me sit on the pub sofa! I love Wittering.

Bye bye Conehead

Fortunately I didn't have to wear it for long because I scraped it along a wall and it broke. This is how I felt when I didn't have to wear it anymore.

Conehead Puppy

I don't know who did it but someone (not Mum or Dad) a dog sort of someone has given me lots of bites on the neck and they've got infected and I had to go to the vet who shaved my neck (horrible!) and now I have to wear this!!!!!

flower day

Today was something called valentines day. I don't know who Valentine is but he must have something to do with flowers.

I tried chewing one of the flowers Dad got Mum but they just aren't as nice as puppy chews. Perhaps next year Dad will give Mum some puppy chews instead of flowers - I know she'll like them much better.

someone took my snow

If you're the person who took all my snow away - give it back and we'll say no more about it.

This morning I went to my river and found that someone had swapped all my snow for more river. I like river very much but I like snow more.

The new river just doesn't taste as nice as snow.

Please give me my snow back.

Sunday, 8 February 2009

I love snow and was soooo happy that it was still here this morning. There are strange white people standing around in it.

Don't they understand that snow is for playing with.....

None of them would run and play with me .....

It's amazing how much fun chewing a stick is in the snow ....

More snow

There is only one thing a little puppy girl like me likes more than snow (or puppy chews) is ......

... More snow !!!

Even with all the snow, it's still lots of fun splashing in my river .....

Even if there is lots and lots of snow ......

Snow!!!!!!!

I love it when it's snowing, even if it does make my little puppy feet all cold.

Soon as it snows lots f my friends come out to play down by my river.

To the casual onlooker, it may seem like me and Barney are fighting, but it is really all fun - maybe I'll let him win sometime.

Birthday girl

I woke up this morning and there were lots of presents for me - chews, a squeaky duck, bouncy-bouncy balls and some bones. Christmas again, yes! "No" said Mum, "today is your birthday - you're one year old". I don't know what she was talking about (year ? old ? ) - but she can say what ever she likes as long as she gives me presents.

I wonder what day it will be tomorrow.
